Nancy K. Giesler, age 75 of Parlin, passed away Sunday August 14, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford CT, Nancy had lived in Parlin for the past 47 years. Nancy was a graduate of Saint Francis School of Nursing in Hartford CT. Before her retirement, she worked as a registered nurse and worked for many years at Elizabeth Hospital and Perth Amboy General Hospital. She also volunteered with the President Park and Sayreville First Aid Squads. Nancy was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin.
She is predeceased by her parents Howard and Rosalie Keegan and two sisters.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years Gerard, her daughters and their spouses Donna and William Dodds of South River, Susan Giesler of Piscataway, Eileen and Steven Bloom of VA, Geralyn Ventola of Red Bank, her grandchildren Stephen, Kimberly, Abigail, Samantha, Sarah, Kiara, and Alana and her brother Howard Keegan of AZ.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
