Steven G. Boychuk age 59 of Matawan passed away peacefully at his home. Born in South Amboy he had resided in Spotswood and South Brunswick before moving to Matawan 2 years ago. Mr. Boychuk was employed since 1985 as custodian for the Middlesex County Vocational School in East Brunswick. Steven was a member of the Senior Men’s Base Ball League in Old Bridge and was an avid L.A. Dodgers Base Ball fan.

He is predeceased by his parents John & Helen Boychuk. Surviving are his wife Linda Smith Boychuk, his brothers and their spouses Jerrold & Rose Marie Boychuk of Morgan, Michael Boychuk of Monmouth Junction and Thomas & Mary Theresa Boychuk of Parlin, his stepchildren Spec George Kostis U.S. Army station in South Korea, Maria Kostis of Lawrenceville, his grandson John Thomas Kostis Perez and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Steven’s name be made to the Sayreville Association of Brain Injured Children 251 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, N.J. 08872.
