Rose Sekman Nahai, age 93 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at Roosevelt Care Center. Born in Sayreville, she was a lifelong borough resident. Rose was a dedicated wife and mother. She had a true love of family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could often be found in her garden, tending to her flowers and vegetables. Rose took great pride in her family and her home. She was a dedicated Catholic and a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. Rose was a member of the St. Stan’s Rosary Society, the St. Stan’s Seniors and the Sayreville Seniors.
She is predeceased by her husband John, her sister Mary Smierzynski and her brothers Andrew and John Sekman.
Surviving are her children Gail Fritsch and her husband Arthur, John M. Nahai, Lori Coacci and her husband James, Lynn Andren and her husband Christopher, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother Bernard Sekman and her sister Mildred Georgianna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street with a mass at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church at 9am in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stan’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
