Obituary for Adeline V Piscitelli (Marchut)

Adeline V. Marchut Piscitelli, age 94 of Sayreville passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sayreville she was a lifelong borough resident. Before her retirement she was the owner and operator of Nick’s Hideout alongside her husband Nick for 10 years. She was a communicant of St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville where she was also a member of the Rosary Society. Adeline belonged to the Sayreville Knights of Columbus Columbiettes and the Sayreville Seniors. She was an accomplished cook and author of her own cook book “Sharing Recipes.” Some of her famous dishes have won her many blue ribbons.

She is predeceased by her husband Nicholas and her sister Shirley Piatek. Surviving are her children and their spouses Ken and Tina of Sayreville, Shirley and Walter “Skip” Scibek of Sayreville, Linda Bomm and Peter of Sayreville and Nick and Pam of Tuckerton, her grandchildren Tami, Kendra, Nicholas, Debbie, Gina, Holly, Damian, Desiree, Dana and Kenneth and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville with a 9am Mass at St Stanislaus RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm.
