William “Bill” K. Roberts, age 80 of Sayreville passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Ivy Depot, VA he had resided in Sayreville for the past 50 years. Before his retirement he was employed by Adcom in Matawan as an Audio Technician for 15 years and later worked at Becker’s News in South River for many years. He was a US Army Veteran and a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Mr. Roberts was a former coach for Sayreville Little League and for OLV basketball.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Gladys Roberts and his siblings George, Jean Smith, Virginia Delaney, Georgia Creanza and James. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, the former Eileen Curley, his children and their spouses Keith and Kathleen of Old Bridge, Michael and Michelle of Monroe and Robin Janas of South River and his grandchildren Daniel, Ashley, Christopher, Amanda, Valerie, Autumn and Kevin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4pm to 8pm.
