Meeting Yogi Berra

I took my Mom up to Montclair, NJ to visit Yogi Berra Museum. It is small , but huge in memories. It was not very crowded because it was a weekday. We walked around, watch some old clips on the big screen & took a few pictures. There was a buzz going around that Yogi was in the building. But people left thinking it wasnt true. But Mom went up to the woman in charge and asked if he was there. Mom was 80 at the time. The woman said he was, but didnt think he was still in the building. My mom in a very sad, disappointing voice said oh...ok. We were the last ones there, so the woman said she would check. I guess she felt sorry for Mom. He said he would come out but doesnt want to sign autographs. We said fine, just want to meet him! He was so gracious and sweet to us and took a photo with us. One of the most cherished moments of Moms life. Mine too!
