Obituary for Walter "Cy" Dubil
Walter “Cy” Dubil, age 101 of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home. Born in Sayreville he was a lifelong borough resident. Before his retirement he was employed as a Paymaster for DuPont in Parlin. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Cabot during WWII. Cy was an avid golfer who was a former driving range operator in Morgan, he belonged to the Sayreville Golf Association where he received a trophy for a score of 69, was the 1985 Senior Club Champion at Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, he golfed once a week with his brother Mike until he was 92 years old and he enjoyed taking care of his flower and vegetable garden.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Frances, his wife Hazel, his daughter Karen Carrero and his siblings Veronica Zawadsky, Dorothy Sieron, Florence Bistak, Margaret Kearns, Benjamin, Matthew, Chester and Michael Dubil. Surviving are his daughter and her husband Bonnie and Joe Sadowski, his grandchildren Michele Carrero and Karl Sadowski and his wife Juliya, his great grandchildren Narayan, Keshava, Kishore and Priya Sadowski and their mother Kelly Ann, his nephews John, Joe and Gary Rojewski, his best friend Stella Misiewicz and many thoughtful nieces and nephews of the Dubil and Sieron Families.
Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 10am to 11am.
