Obituary for Charles Maxwell Sr.

Charles Maxwell Sr.
Charles Arthur Maxwell of Henderson, NV, passed away on February 11, 2018 from complications of cancer. He was 85 years old. He is pre-deceased by his lovely wife, Catherine MacIntosh Maxwell as well as his beloved son, Michael Joseph Maxwell. He leaves behind a family that will always keep him alive in their hearts. His son, Christoper of Matawan, NJ, his daughter Mary of Henderson, NV, his son Charles Jr of Pittsford, NY, his son Douglas of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, his daughter Roberta of Hackettstown, NJ, his son Robert of Murphy, TX, his son Jack of Dallas, TX and his son Peter of Plano, TX. He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Charles will always be remembered for his love of sports. He was known as "coach" to quite a few young football and baseball players. He always found time to show and share his knowledge of these sports. In his later years, he had quite the passion for the game of horseshoes and bowling.

Charles served with the United States Navy from 1952-1956. He then began taking on the business world. He started by repairing computers for IBM and in different sales arenas. His finest achievement came in the banking business. He was a mortgage broker who became well trusted by those who worked with him. Because of his dedication and hard work throughout the years, he was able to retire at the age of 55. We are so proud of his accomplishments.

For the next 30 years, he moved from NJ to Pennsylvania and then back to NJ. He loved his time in PA where he would go for long walks with his dogs. He met friends that later became his bowling mates and when he had some down time, he took to doing crossword puzzles.

Charles A Maxwell...you'll never know Dad how much we miss you. You are loved, remembered and longed for always.
