Teresa Gierlachowska, age 70 passed away peacefully Wednesday November 1, 2017 at the Atrium in Matawan. Teresa was born in Krzyewo, Poland where she had resided before moving to South River. She will be remembered fondly as a loving mother, grandmother and devout Catholic.
Teresa is predeceased by her husband Jan Gierlachowski. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Anna Tepedino, Margaret and Wojciech Starzec and Mariola and Slawomir Rzaca, her grandchildren Paul Jr, Arthur, Gabriella, Paulina, Amelia and Maciej, her mother Eugienia Dzierzanowska, her brother Witold Dzierzanowski and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River, NJ 08882 will be held Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A mass of Christian burial is being offered 10am Saturday November 4, 2017 at St. Stephen Catholic Church 20 William Street South River NJ 08882
