Obituary for Maria E. Soden

East Brunswick
Maria E. Soden, age 59 of East Brunswick passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Brunswick she resided in South River for most of her life until her move to East Brunswick many years ago. After graduating from South River High School, Maria attended Trenton State University where she received a BA in Special Education. Mrs. Soden most recently worked for NAI Fennelly Corporate Real Estate in Hamilton as their office manager. She was a communicant of St. Bart’s RC Church in East Brunswick as well as a member of both the St. Bart’s Choir and Hand Bell Choir. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is predeceased by her father James Pozsgai and father-in-law George Soden. Surviving is her mother Anna Fulop of South River; her beloved son Craig and his fiancée Jessica Seaboldt of East Brunswick; her loving partner of many years Rob Weissman of South Brunswick; sister Anna Pozsgai of Old Bridge; Bob & Marcia Weissman of SC; mother-in-law Joyce Soden of East Brunswick; as well as many loving nieces & nephews.

Calling hours at the funeral home will take place Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm with funeral services on Wednesday at 6pm at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave., South River.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Maria’s name to Catholic Charities for hurricane relief at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/efforts/disaster-operations. Maria’s family would also like to thank the many staff members at Willow Creek, Carney’s Point, and Summerhill Nursing Homes for their years of caring help and support.
