Parlin
Joan Trocchia, age 80, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away Friday August 25, 2017 at The Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she just recently moved to Parlin less than 2 years ago. Mrs. Trocchia had many jobs but most recently worked for the Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn as a cashier in the gift shop. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church and was a great lover of animals, always having dogs in the house.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Ernest & Jenny (Lavita) Pirozzi. Surviving are her beloved husband Ralph Trocchia of Parlin; her 2 sons and their spouses Daniel & Sandy Trocchia of Parlin, and Ralph & Joyce Trocchia of Brooklyn; her brother Ernest & wife Tracy Pirozzi of Saddle River; and 7 loving grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, with a 9:30am mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
