Obituary for Angelo J. Ascolese Sr.

Angelo  J.  Ascolese Sr.
Parlin
Angelo Ascolese, Sr., age 68 of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Friday June 2, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, with his loving family at his side. Born in Newark, he had resided in Parlin for the past 30 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Ascolese worked as an electrician for Essex County and was a member of IBEW Electricians Union Local 52. Angelo was a proud member of the NRA and loved going to Atlantic City and tinkering with cars in his spare time.

He is predeceased by his son Angelo, Jr. in 2003 as well as his parents Anthony and Frances Ascolese. Surviving is his beloved wife of 45 years Amelia (Lepore) of Parlin; his loving son Dominic and wife Vilma of Parlin; Kathleen Collazo of Sayreville; his daughter-in-law Cecelia of Old Bridge; his 3 wonderful grandchildren Dominic, Angelina & Gabriella; brothers Ricky & Anthony; sister-in-law Marie Lepore of Belleville; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, & nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home with a 9:30am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Old Bridge.

Calling hours at the funeral home will take place Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm.
