Obituary for David Acosta Sr.
Sayreville
David Acosta, Sr., age 53 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, David has resided in South Amboy for the past 15 years. David most recently worked in the shipping department for Marquis Staffing in Keyport. He was a loving son and father and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
David is predeceased by his father Felix Acosta in 2015. He is survived by his mother Aurea (Ortiz) Acosta of South Amboy; his siblings Florence and husband Ralph Pabon of Long Island, Miriam of Manhattan, Felix & wife Theresa of Staten Island, and Marilyn & husband Antonio Jackson of VA; his beloved children David, Jr. of South River, Julissa of Newark, and Thomas of VA; his 3 loving grandchildren David III, Angel and Zaida; the mother of his children Frances Torres of Newark; and his dear friend Janet Ferreri of Parlin.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5pm to 9pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. Services will take place Friday, 11am at the Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
